If you agree the bible (old testament) is the word of YOUR "god/s" there can be no redaction, no edit. If this "god/s" of YOURS is perfect, it has no reason to re-write it's book of rules, which include beating children, women and slaves to death, murder, rape, pedophilia, burnings and stonings etc. The only reason for men to rewrite the phony baloney fiction of the old testament is because nobody followed it. It's all man-made and vile. When will you accept reality? So sad.

religion is fading away and Atheism/Reality is growing due to TECHNOLOGY and SCIENCE. Bright well adjusted people are less likely to believe in the idiocy of religion when they see how wrong it is on every level. christians maintained, UNTIL 1975, that the Earth was the center of the Universe and the Sun orbited us, even after centuries of Scientific Proof. @mccainisthrough I don't know if you've read the gospels yet :) It is growing 5% a year bcz of the hypocritical christians who don't stand up for their faith :) the 5% who does will continue to do that till they die :) and the churches are turning into business markets rather than the house of the lord.
