I had a Santa Cruz 12 fret D, the loudest guitar I ever heard. But then I found a 95 golden era D18 and a HD28 LSV and both are easier to play and tune better as the 12 fred did not intonate very well and the top was starting to belly out. I regret parting with the Cruz, but have 2 or 3 other guitars that are just great. I have seen Norman play that old guitar live on several ocasions and Nancy on that really old cello. What a sound!!!! Norman was my biggest influence for so many years.

Norman's D-18S is just the most kick ass sounding acoustic ever
I have a Gibson Advanced Jumbo, an amazing guitar, but Norman's D-18!!!!
