Based on Peter Matthiessen's historical novel of the same name, Killing Mister Watson is a song from The Dharma Bomb, a roots-rock band from Miami Florida. Shot at a reenactment at the Smallwood General Store in Chokoloskee, Florida, it recounts the last minutes of Edgar Watson's life. Check out http://dharmabomb.com for more info on the band.
The reenactment is a bit farby.

Wow Todd, well shot, well edited. I love the look you got; looks like 1960's Kodachrome. I haven't listened to this CD in a while, gonna' pull it out and relive some of our old times in The Grove.

My name is Alvin Lederer and as a researcher of South Florida History it is my pleasure to know Todd Thompson who wrote this song about the man who has consumed over 15 year's of my life. I have seen this talented man perform this song at the Smallwood Store and I have had the pleasure of his company talking about Florida History. We know most of the cast members and Todd for the song and I want to thank Lynn Smallwood for the use of the store and Museum.
