A Review of My Sister's Keeper starring Cameron Diaz and Abigail Breslin with Alec Baldwin.
and re-introducing Sofia Vassilieva.

Best line: "He's a service dog. I have an iron lung and he keeps me away from magnets."
(it's not that line exactly, something to that effect!)

But when you think about the book, Anna is still (for the most part) one of the main characters, yet she still gets killed off. I don't think that Abigail was right to portray Anna.

Seeing this film without having read the book, I can honestly say that the movie stands well on it's own. I also felt that the entire cast was solid, and each held up their own end. I think you have enjoyed the ending more if you had not read the book. What I often find is that the moment a movie deviates from the book that it's based off of, readers become offended and automatically dislike any changes. Neither endings seem wrong - they just leave you with a different thematic statement.

The movie was not good in my opinion. The characters were not beliveable, the lines that weren't from the book were corny and cliche', and THEY CHANGED THE ENDING!! Why the hell did they have to screw up the movie adaption of such a fantastic book?

@JustPeachy932 Actually, Dakota Fanning was the first choice for the part as Kate, and her little sister as Anna, but Dakota fanning backed out when she found out she had to shave her head. Personally, I think the movie was great, all of the cast did an amazing job, especially Sofia Vasilieva! (i have yea to read the book though)

I got my mom the book for mothers day and she loved it!

I also took her to the movie. She didnt want to go at first because she wanted to finish the book but we went anyways..a little while later she read the book and finished it to find out a shocking and sadder ending..She was almost crying!!

I really want to read the book but she lost it or something!! :)

But still the movie was great..I dont agree on one thing though..Dakota would have been great but I think Abigal was great too..

Yeah, Dakota Fanning is my favorite actress, and I do think she would have done well in this movie.

THANK YOU! I really dont think Abigail was a good choice for Anna. I wanted dakota fanning (because shes amazing) but i think she was too old. I read somewhere that Dakota and her sister were originally cast for the roles but Dakota refused to save her head. Which makes sense.
