I said that before the game was released. I was going by something this guy on gamespot was telling me.

In my case Far Cry 2 is not so demanding as Crysis. I have AMD Athlon 64 x2 dual core 2,3ghz & GeForce 7900gto 512mb..Crysis runs low-medium settings max.30fps. Far Cry 2 runs medium-high settings about 30-50fps.

8500gt sli = LAWL, dont try and recommend sli for 2 crappy graphics cards, all round card to get is 8800gt

No. I have it. With slightly higher system specs than iampronoob777, I get about 20 fps on Crysis. All medium, AAx2, low res. Farcry 2 is supposed to be more demanding than Crysis, If you're using the 8500 you should be in SLI. I'd recommend an 8800GS or 9600GSO for Farcry 2, If you want to play above low settings, that is.
Farcry 2 would support it, but you couldn't do too much with it.
