i have never laughed and cried at a broadway musical as i have at this one. and i am a straight man. my wife dragged me to this and i've never been more moved. incredible.

I saw the show a couple of times in London last year and it was really wonderful, especially since I once had a table seat! Since this seems to be based quite a lot on the London revival I have to ask if it is played in smaller theatre or a bigger one like in London?

I just love the outfit that Douglas Hodge wears in this video. What fun it would be to dress like this for Halloween! I love the full skirt with petticoats as well as the wig, dress and shoes.

A 'hackless mess' that has just won the Tony award for best director, best musical revival and best actor in a musical (Doug Hodge). This is a far funnier version than the original, which was also great (in its time). I had the pleasure to see this several times before it transferred to Broadway with different actors in the leading roles and each time was blown away by it.
