  • this was not the fastest honda on my passtime. one went 10.2 and another went 10.5

  • @ridinghonda101 Well they had two Honda's one time two black honda's that were about 500 hp to the wheels and usually run about mid 9sec passes each. But of course a cold night and a cold track is the worst conditions for a FWD car let alone two with 500 hp so in the end they ended up running like mid 10's cause of track conditions.

  • @REWej8 LMAO, thats cuz they probably aren't racing.... I have a friend who likes to tell stories like that til he realizes they weren't even racing him.. nice try

  • @ceetwarrior lol when I think about that I just go out and smash on some v8's on the streets. I've been beaten by some and to them I give my respect but 90% of the time my civic kills them. and I'm not running anything over the top, just a nice daily driver setup

  • thats a hekka hekkaaaa gay car

  • @w00t692 It doesn't get too cold here in AZ but my best hook has been in ~45 degree temps. The burnout is clean the slicks off and expose fresh rubber. You want to heat them up a bit because when the slick compound heats up it gets sticky, but if you spin them too hard or too long, the oils come out of the tire and you spin. Idk where you live but come race on a track that is ~140 degrees on a 110 degree Arizona day. You will spin all over the place.

  • Waste of life. Wow, the fastest Hondas on pass time run 10's. And the fastest real cars run 6's on pass time..... maybe you retard kids should rethink your car of choice.

  • @gtdrummerdude

Cold weather or cool weather. I can guarantee you that slicks are going to hook better in 60-70 degree weather than 30 degree weather.

If slicks hook better in cold weather, why do you do a burnout to warm them up?

  • @w00t692 You are incorrect. Any and all tires as well as prepped road surfaces for drag racing hook better in cold weather. Next time you are at the drags, ask the staging guy or the race director. If they have been there for a while they will know that oils come out of tires and road surfaces in hot weather and reduce traction. I have experienced this conclusively over my last ~400 passes on both slicks and street tires.

  • @gtdrummerdude

He was NOT talking about the civic in this video.

Also, the best time to run is when it's mild out, about 60 degrees. slicks MOST CERTAINLY hook better in hot weather. Street tires do as well. either way it's all about track prep.

  • @Vert344 Nah not 500 hp. I pushed my 2750 lb Mustang to 118 mph with 285 motor hp plus a 125 shot. This guy trapped only 5 mph more than that, and that Civic was definitely under 2000 lbs. It would probably put ~330 to the tires.

  • @gtdrummerdude I know that. But the track was TOO cold! It was winter and they had old Slicks I think but they both spun horribly off the line. And if it gets too cold it can cause traction loss too. And I never said anything about the cars losing power. I said they were both 500 or more HP. Nothing about the cold making them lose power.
