@JaredDrake I think it would be cool if they balanced the sci-fi with the fantasy elements. I don't know how it would turn out, but I think it would be pretty cool.

to all gamers who prefer games like final fantasy IX over games like final fantasy XIII! game companies are making mistakes when making rpgs the way they do now! i might be only 15 but that doesnt matter i love final fantasy IX more than any other game. they should make more games like FF IX but instead they decided to make FF XIII in wich u dont have a friggin purpose of what youre doing until youre bout 1/2 thru the game. TO ALL GAMERS. DONT LET THE FINAL FANTASY SERIES DIE!!!!!!!!!!!

@cyberdark999 you can download the demo of ff 13-2 there you can see youself what changed ;) btw my favorite story of all ff games is by far crisis core, never seen a such good written prequel

Really? Awesome. And another thing which bugged me. People tend to say that FFIX is the last 'fantasy' kind of game in the series. Then they started complaining bout X,XII and XIII. X was just awesome. It wasn't futuristic like what others said (except for dream Zanarkand) The rest is more like FF6. Having completed FF1,2,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 and halfway through 12 and 1/4 through 13, I can say that the series is indeed good at storytelling.

FF13 was alright.............except for the garbage battle system. Lets face it, Final Fantasy never had any good history with allied AIs. So even though the AIs might be faster than our hands (instantly using cure when switching to medic) it is still frustrating sometimes when they don't do exactly what we want. And Game Over when your main character is dead? That's just bullshit. Other than that, it's fine. Oh, and 12 is actually good. Always liked balthier and gabranth

@JaredDrake I think it should completely throw scifi out. Return to the roots like 9 did. Hell, if 9 had a sequel, that alone would get me to buy whatever system it played on. I will never say that for any other FF game, period. After 9, the story quality just...plummeted. And let's all face it. We 90's kids played the FF games with a single plea in heart:

"Tell me a story I'll never forget"
