  • What happens if something falls off a skid? I would imagine it could really gum up the system.

  • peppeles

  • @MrBevbob Small items are fairly easy to automate. You just keep them in a box, bring the box to the person, person picks out what they need, system puts box back. If you go sufficiently advanced, you can even get the system to pack, seal and ship the boxes with absolutly no human intervention - but that's not a good idea, as you tend to see a rise in people getting the wrong things then.

  • блин! вот это тема!!

  • @MrBevbob the warehouse i work in auto picks anything from boxes of pills, makeup, batteries, CD's to 1000kg full pallets. It is possible, but the equipment costs millions ( the warehouse im in cost 650 million to buy and install the systems)

  • If it's so automated why is there a bald head @ 2:18 ?

  • dont think amazon could do it this way, so many small items in amazon. i.e, books and cd's not sure if a computer will pick these out as efficentley as a human
