Fungus Forest Theory

Clanker's Cavern might have possibly at one point have been Fungus Forest. The area surrounding Clanker's Cavern is quite mossy, hell, there is a jigsaw podium nearby (Click Clock Wood) that is surrounded by fungi. In a beta video that 64dd.net was so nice to have on archive, we see a glimpse of a 'living' Clanker. At one point Clanker was not mechanical. In the video, there is also mossy growing on the rocks underwater rather than the steel surroudings that we have now. On a final note, the music in the background when Banjo is swimming around Clanker is the music for Fungi Forest in Donkey Kong 64. This all adds up to say that Clanker's Cavern was Fungus Forest until the move of the level to DK64. Why is was moved, probably because the bastards thought Fungus Forest looked better with Donkey Kong.

My take on where Fungus Forest was, who was in the level, and explore some other things.

Clanker's Cavern always seemed to me as a scrap of a level...it never seemed all the way whole or finished.

Huh...I always wondered why the Click Clock Wood podium was all the way down there by Clanker's Cavern. This makes a lot of sense. Interesting.

Speaking of music, anyone ever noticed that the final Clanker's Cavern theme sounds a lot like Cranky Kong's Lab theme in DK64?

this whole idea off clanker being a real live shark instead of metal improved livin in a real fores and being happy really weirds me out for some reason... i feel bad for clanker
