Following the 2005 Los Angeles Times four part series "Guardians for Profit", a 16 year old filmmaker and his family set out to document stories of families who had been affected by Professional Conservators/Guardians. While we continue to follow cases that have not yet been resolved, we feel that families might benefit from a short preview of the interviews we captured. This Documentary is being filmed and edited by a 16 year old filmmaker.

  • The video is about people who try to get ahold of your lives through the law. It could happen to any age, although elders are common targets.

  • Thank you for sharing!

  • it's so stupid! one day my grandpa was abusing my dad and my dad fought back at him and beat my grandmpa up and i came to my grandpas rescue and tried to act like a little hero and beat my dad up for harming my grandmpa and i managed to take him down with a plastic base ball bat and the police took me and my grandmpa BOTH to jail for assault so fuck the police!!!!

  • i'll kill any one who would hit my grabdparents even if my grnadparents were the ones who started the fight! i'm just a punk that way.

i would NEVER hit an old man even he hit me first, and sociaty hates me for that. even other old people hate me for that and the police want to see me in jail.

  • Yet, the State of SC recently prosecuted a man who gave up his job to take care of his elderly aunt for the simple act of buying a 30 dollar pre-paid phone from her bank account WITH her consent and blessing (and she IS mentally competent) SO he had another lifeline to her when he went to the store. Another case, an elderly woman loaned her nephew 100 dollars to buy a suit SO he could go on a job interview. Social Services said he "exploited her". She told him to go get it as a gift from her.

  • @brotherofathief im going through the exact same thing, im over here tearing up now.the law has not been any help what so ever!

  • My mom has been cleaned out by my drug trafficking and drug addict brother. I tried everything to no avail. Called police, FBI, banks, District Attorney and Adult Protective Services. They're all morons who don't care. I'm risking my life tracking a drug addict and his connections.
