Although I have not picked this one fully pinned, here are tips that I learned along the way. I have picked the Assa Twin V-10 as well. The lock in the video is pinned with one normal stack and 1 sidepin for the sidebar for demonstration purposes. Hopefully it will help out folks that are new to Assa.

  • Great demo! Are you able to set all of the regular pin stacks before working the sidebar? On mine I actually had to set some of the regular stacks, then set some of the sidebar pins, then go back to the regular stacks, and finally set the last couple of sidebar pins. I also found that I could only get some stacks out of false set after I put another stack into a false set...for example: put pin 6 in false then put 1 in false then back to 6 then back to 1...make sense?

    Anyway, great job! 5*

  • On this lock the normal stacks bind first and then it switches to the sidebar. I have seen the back-and-forth between stacks and sidebar on other Assa, however. IIRC that happened with the other deeper-spool style style of driver pins. The second false set back-and-forth you described is pretty common in high quality security-pinned locks. That same back and forth action is really nasty on these sidepins as well.

  • would that same techique work on the Assa SCD? Great vid 5*

  • thanks.JK

  • nice job

  • very nice picking.5*****

  • I see. Thanks for the info. Unfortunately the only other higher quality locks I've picked have been Medecos and just setting the regular pin stacks on the ASSA is a whole other world from setting the pin stacks in the Medecos I have picked. I need more exposure to high sec locks.

  • Great job Amazing King....long time since you posted a video...

  • again like the style of your vids.
