@michaelhviper Sort of. It has the same character and mecha designer, Leiji Matsumoto. However, Leiji and Yamato's producer whose name escapes me right now, have been fighting in court for years over who owns and created Yamato. As a result, you can sometimes see the Yamato show up in Leiji's work but you never get to see its crew because or see it take a more important role in any story because of the legal disputes.

It is sad that Bruce is in the opening. When I watched Bruce's death it was really sad. Galaxy Railways is a really good and (to me) an emotional show. But one of the best!
