there was a huge difference when I used component cables on my Wii specially Zelda and RE UC
and I have HDTV letter-box runs 720p maximum

giuseppermarziano6 - what a weird tv, your probly thinking of Green, Blue, Red then Red and white, thats what all hd's have along with hdmi slots, scarts *well not all of them have scarts*, aerial port, you know were u put your mini-dish, some of them have the basic red white and yellow, mine dont but some older ones do i think, and thats about it i think.

Depends on the brand, I use an off brand component cable on my Wii and it works fine, I have heard complaints about other off brand cables, but not sure which brands
If you want to be 100% sure that they work, you may want to get Nintendo brand ones
