This is a rough idea of what a week-two weeks of food will cost you here in Thailand, the greatest place on Earth! This is about shopping at the grocery store, not the local markets. Markets are cheaper but have less options with many products such as sugar, bread, frozen items, and milk.

  • I am so tired of all you jack asses posting like your something! If you read through all the responses you will see that this video was just simply made to show people a litlle bit of the costs of the foods most common back home. You know, stuff people might wnat some insight on! Duh! Yeah I eat this shit all the time! No shit there is street food! You don't think I know that. You must be Americans because you have a keen ability to state the obvious while thinking your something special.

  • @ neilandmaggie1 I was giving people an idea of what prices are on certian things. This is not what we buy or how we buy all the time. You wanna be a c*nt? Go sell then "mate"! You may come here three times a year but I live here. I will tell you one thing on that MATE, you sound like exactaly the type of people that everyone here does not want to come back anytime soon. I see guys like you all the time, your not that special. Sawadee Mai Jai Dee, Kee nook! Chook Dee! Thanks 4 that fjt108 ;)

  • Ok, 8 people do not like this video. I will make a better video on shopping here. I have been here longer so I know how to shop a little better and in the markets. Next time I am out i will put something together for everyone. New Video on the way... I heard you.

  • 30 Baht to the dollar. Unless you have all your money in a Thai account you will only get anywhere from 28-29 Baht to the dollar. This is the selling price of the dollar in Thailand.

  • Thanks Matt for taking the time to post I found it very interesting

  • @heronbone11 He paid 35 baht and 50 SATANG. :)

  • Terrific; thanks bros!

  • oh, farang ! you need your farang food ???? so, you have to pay a lot, same you.......

  • Eat the street food you can get 3 lovely meals for like $10 or less a day

  • Eat out would be much cheaper than that!!!! $100 ... that's a lot of money for a week worth of food!!!! But hey, if you cannot live off Thai food, than this is the alternative!!!!

  • That is, by far, the most expensive supermarket in Chiang Mai. Personally, I wouldn't ever buy Massaman curry on packets, I would go to a restaurant. It is possible, to spend a lot less, eating on food courts (just an example). Thanks for posting the video, though. Enjoy that amazing country.
