This arrangement of I love me love in the morning is played on the starter model of Camac harps - a 27 string Bardic harp by Lauren Scott.
As the harp only goes down to a C below middle C you do need to be a bit creative with the left hand and have to jump around a bit, but it's perfectly possible to play a lot of music on this harp.

  • Hi, I love listening to you play. Your harp sounds wonderful. Can you tell me about the string tension on the Camac Bardic? How about string spacing? Thank you! Please keep posting.

  • @brownpencilcase Thank you!! String spacing is standard, and the tension is ok, not too light. Obviously not same as concert harp, but considering I'm usually always playing Salvi concert harps with a very high string tension, I don't find playing the Bardic too much of a jump or too light in tension. I would say it's a lighter tension than a Pilgrim clarsach but not as light as a Triplett or Dusty Strings harps.

  • Beautifully played! I've got a Camac Korrigan and a Camac Janet, and am thinking about buying a Bardic 27 for when I travel. I was wondering though if the square sound box of the Bardic is at all uncomfortable as it rests against you.

A pleasure to hear you play. Best wishes from Wales

  • @pugthing Thanks! I know what you mean about the square sound box, but no it's fine. I find the harp so small though that I tend to grip it with my feet around the back two legs. If you have a Korrigan and want this for travelling I wonder whether it's worth thinking about the 22 string so it's even lighter to carry about? This is great for travelling and comes with a ruck-sack type case you can put on your back, but once you have a couple of bags as well it does get a bit heavy to carry.

  • Hello, you play so beautiful ^^ i love harp so much and i going to buy for myself a lever harp maybe in a few months after. But i wonder, can i play pedal harp if i start with lever harp?Because i like pedal harp, but now im a student,i cant buy a pedal harp.Is that possible if i learn lever harp first and in a future, when i buy a pedal one,can i play it?please reply me,thank you soooo much!^^

  • @duongngocvuminh Absolutely, I started learning on a small lever harp as did most pedal harpists I know. If you can afford it though I would recommend you get a 34 string harp with full set of levers. That will make transition to pedal harp much easier. Good luck!
