One of the most famous and oldest landmarks in Northern Thailand is Doi Suthep Temple, whereas, the word Doi means mountain. The temple overlooks the city of Chiang Mai and attracts thousands of visitors each year.

  • I was there in 1999 it was the most serene place I've ever been it was very early morning and there was only a few people there, the morning mist was just lifting and it really was like being on another planet.

  • Beautiful thank you. Have visited Thailand before but not Chiang Mai, however it's on my itinerary for next time.

  • Beautiful temple, my brother lived and worked in Chaing Mai but sadly died in 2004, his remains are in a stupa under the bodie tree, he always said it was his favourite place in the world. A very special place.

  • Lived in this temple for 3 weeks whilst studying meditation. Beautiful place.
