The epic concludes. Unlike the other Repton 2 levels, Screens N, O and P are linked in a series: each one leads to the next, so you cannot return to the first level until you have completed all three. Although often thought of as the last three levels, they can be tackled earlier in the sequence; they just cannot be separated from each other. Screen P is therefore the hardest level to reach, and contains a large field of diamonds as an appropriate reward, together with a row of transporters all linked to their own squares, presumably to baffle the player who has not reached this level into thinking there must be many more levels to go than there really are.

After completing these screens, since I took care at the end of the previous video and the start of this one to clear the remaining earth on the first level, there is nothing more to be done except collect the final pieces of the puzzle. These are trapped behind guardian skulls, and the status character has to be visited twice in order to release them. I then show the completed puzzle, visit the status character a final time to open the finish character, and finally make my way across the surface one last time.

Appropriately, I have selected Scott Joplin's beautiful piece The Entertainer as the music for this final video. I hope watching the series has entertained you as much as making it has entertained me!

  • Amazing to see this game can actually be conquered. As a kid I was addicted to 1 & 3, but part 2 completely defeated me.

    Cheers for posting :)

  • By watching this amazing longplay, I can confirm that I did see all of the levels/transporters in this game, but I was still a million miles away from completing the game. It was interesting to see that the main level in this final/6th instalment had a colour palette of yellow and 2 cyans (see Repton's head and legs... same colour) - I totally forgot about that. You certainly know the game like the back of your hand. Many thanks for sharing a nostalgic game with us Youtubers :-)

  • Brilliant, Had Repton 2 on my Electron back in the day and I got so close to completing it, a classic game.

    Well done mate.

  • Amazingly done!

I got very close to completing this when I was a kid. I had everything done except I was missing 17 pieces of earth.

It good to finally witness the completing of this superb, classic game.

  • Thanks for posting this - very skillfully done!

    Now try again.
