Yeah, he inspired me to learn the fiddle two years ago (I was 14) and you wouldn't believe what a positive effect that had on me :)

That is because he is still alive,lol!.
No matter what the Daily Telegraph wrote in 1999.
To be fair,he has not been in the best of health for many years and with help from his mates,has continued to delight.,and most definitely is still playing to his full potential!.

This man is the reason i so unexpectedly picked up a fiddle when i was 15, now its my life. I'll lever forget that year at Cropredy when i saw him play i was totally captivated and knew it was the instrument i wanted to learn. Swarbs, bless you
