Tacky. Distasteful. But would you call the kind of videos on sites like YouTube "degenerate"? That's what the Chinese government thinks.
Beijing is to crack down on video sharing websites.
But many fear that this isn't the kind of material that is worrying the Chinese.
Videos including footage from the Tiananmen Square massacre in 1989 is already banned in China.
And to further tighten up the rules, from the end of this month, only state owned video sharing sites will be allowed in China.
China already has one of the most tightly controlled internet services in the world. So why do they need to insist on total state ownership of the sites?

Why not ??? if people know what kind of web page is that , then they could judge BY THEMSELVES wheter or not to trust what they see on that webpage .
It is not only China , It is Asia . Your mentality is just like that of Mid-Ages Europe .

Blocking access to youtube and other video sharing sites is not right, but I have to admit there is a lot of junk and trash uploaded to youtube that I would like to see gone not to mention the idiots you can find on these sites.

Here is something to talk about! I am a Cherokee Prince . My mother is 100% Cherokee. My Father is 100% Spanish. My wife is 50% Russian,50% Mexican. My mother in law was born in China in 52.If the Chinese knew that they had two Princesess' Living in America do you think they would senser that info our would they embrace them? Anything they fear they squash it. It is sad , I would love to vist China but The Govt. would not allow it . too much of a chalenge to thier authority.
