Update: I no longer recommend MeGUI for video conversion. The creators of MeGUI continue to update their program and reduce its functionality. I have voiced my opinion on the doom9 forum in the past and these cries for help went unanswered. As of today, June 20th, 2010, the latest version of MeGUI applies updates that drastically alter the program and remove some much needed presets. This has been an ongoing issue with me because I cannot keep revising my tutorials every time the creators decide to drastically change the way MeGUI works and in the process, severely reduce its functionality.
I am looking into XMedia Recode as a possible alternative to MeGUI and so far it looks promising. I will post a video tutorial if I find it to be a suitable alternative to MeGUI.
Sorry guys, you can blame the creators of MeGUI for this debacle. Do like I did. Go to the doom9 forum, rant about it and get banned. Go out in style.

This is a continuation of my last MeGUI tutorial, which showed you how to convert AVI videos into H.264. This tutorial shows you how to convert almost any video into h.264 using the K-Lite Codec Pack.
It would be a good idea to check out the first tutorial before watching this one.
(REQUIRED) Get AviSynth: http://avisynth.org/mediawiki/Main_Page
Get MeGUI: http://sourceforge.net/projects/megui/
Get Nero AAC: http://www.nero.com/eng/downloads-nerodigital-nero-aac-codec.php
To install it, extract "NeroAacEnc.exe" into the root directory of MeGUI. Then choose any of the Nero AAC Audio presets in MeGUI. No restart is required.

IF YOU SEE *SCRATCHPAD* IN THE "ENCODER SETTINGS" DROPDOWN MENU, HERE IS HOW YOU FIX IT:
Go to options - Update. Then on the left, go to "Profile Collections". Right click the "Tx264" and choose "Force Reinstall". Repeat for "STAudio" and whatever else.
How come when I look in my Encoder Settings for Audio, it only show these *scratchpad* profiles?

@mikeymike93 Either you did not get the latest updates for MeGUI, or you failed to download the presets.
For whatever reason, go to options > Update. Then on the left, go to "Profile Collections". Right click the "Tx264" and choose "Force Reinstall". Repeat for "STAudio" and whatever else.
That should solve your problem.
