HUGE HUGE Talent!!! I saw her in 1989. Great show.

@Juliaflo just as bad, she is not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a solo performer, only as part of the Goffin-King songwriting team. this is clearly ridiculous. she influenced multiple generations of singer-songwriters. i get in trouble for saying this, but paul mccartney and george harrison should not be in as solo artists. they produced some nice hit songs but had they been paul jones and george smith, they would not be there.

I LOVE Carole King. I interviewed her and told her the influence she had on my life as a young girl growing up was just unbelievable. She was so sweet, kind and giving of her time, emotions and spirit. Man, it was intense! So blessed to have her music influence me so strongly....

@danning1 Why Miss King has not been given the Kennedy Center Honors is beyond me.
Happy holiday.

@brookeperk93 I know, right? How on Earth John Wayne has the Presidential Medal of Freedom (i.e. the highest civilian honor an American can have) and she doesn't is beyond me.

@JohnMifsud2010 Talent is sorely missed.

this is the most perfect, complete woman of the 20th and 21st century. i would give anything to sit and chat with this woman. never a negative word spoken about this woman by anyone.clearly recognized by her peers as a savant.clearly a woman who has put so much joy in my spirit with her remarkable 50 years in the art of music.with love to you carole from western pennsylvania.

@jwr3281 this is excellent. though it is hard to tell which one of her great songs is her best.

I work on this ranch/recording studio, and one day I was singing along with cleaning the horse stalls and in walked Carole King and her friend Rick Evers.....It was one of my favorite times in life....I still talk about it......fab lady and friend!!!
This is talent. She wrote the song, both music and lyrics, arranged it and sings it while she is playing the piano. Makes you wonder about all of the hype for folks who speak in rhythm and grab their crotches and call it art.

I've loved Carol Kings music since she was only writing songs for other stars, then in the 70s she started performing her own songs. I love her. Thanks for posting.
