  • I follow no false Prophet Mr. cant Answer. You Prove My Point since You cant Even Rightly Divide The Word Of Truth, by using the Old Lame Thief On The Cross as You fake Proof. The Thief Was Forgiven Under Old Covenant Faith.Mathew 1:21 Jesus Will Save His People From There Sins, The Thief was a Jew . A Jew COULD Not then Be Baptized Into Jesus Death, Burial, and Resurrection. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 Romans 6:3-6 I am Spot on, You are the False Teachers. Better get with The Program

  • @Love6653 You're the one in the Biblical wrong. The thief DIED AFTER CHRIST DIED & he had FAITH in the cruficied saviour Jesus Christ, get it?! That's about as New Testament as you can get! "Old Covenant Faith" has nothing to do with this since Christ Jesus was right there, get it? Next we find Cornelius & his whole household being saved BEFORE water baptism in Acts 10:43-48, get it? You're committing idolatry when you make a saving god out of water baptism (as the founding Campbellites did).

  • @Love6653 The Thief Was Forgiven Under Old Covenant Faith. What you say here Love6653 is wrong. The Old Testament Covenant Law saved noone. It convicted you. The blood of the animals looked forward, but didn't not atone Heb 10:4. Even if he could've been saved under it, the theif was cursed Deu 21:23. He couldn't jump down off the cross and sacrifice an animal for his sin. What saved him was he recognized that Jesus was God, and called out to Him. And Christ said that He can forgive sin.

  • @Smashmouthj Continuing from the other comment - Baptism symbolizes a conscience clear before God (achieved by the washing of the conscience by the blood of Christ (Hebrews 10:22, Titus 3:5, Rev. 1:5, 1 John 1:7) & is acquired entirely by faith (Romans 3:28, Ephesians 2:8-10) BEFORE baptism in water is practiced as a sign of that good conscience (Romans 4:8-11, remembering that baptism is the New Testament counterpart to circumcision - Col. 2:11-12).

  • @Smashmouthj 1 Peter 3:19-21, here Peter immediately gives a carefully devised explanatory phrase "not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God." Baptism is the "putting away ..." (Hebrews 10:22, washing the body in pure water). But what actually saves is "the answer of a good conscience toward God." In this context then, "baptism" is used metaphorically to SYMBOLIZE a conscience clear before God.

  • @Smashmouthj 2nd peter 3:7 I forgot to out that.

  • @CAnswersTV Well 2nd peter tells us Immersion ( the greek meaning of baptism) saves us as it has no significance in itself but is obidence, or the answer of a good conscience. the thief was saved under repentance seeing as how Jesus being God could forgive sin Mark 2:7 and in order for the new law to come Jesus had to die, not be on the cross Hebrews 9:16

  • @Love6653 Man, you're so brainwashed by your Campbellite "water baptism for salvation" doctrine you can't even understand that the points you are bringing up in this comment here are based on the logical fallacies of NON SEQUITUR (concerning the thief) & BEGGING THE QUESTION (concerning your misquotations of Matt 1:21, 1 Cor. 15:1-4, Rom. 6:3-6). God saves people WITHOUT baptism (Romans 9).
