My goodness Linda Cardellini has a radiant smile. Thankfully I was a little taller than Sam but his experience is mine exactly. My freshman year was 80-81. Awkwardly dancing to late 70s rock. I think F.A.G. may have suffered the same fate as Once and Again. Too real, so real it hurt to watch it.

That pained look Sam gets on his face for a moment when the music changes - like he wishes he was anywhere but there - is painful to watch. But what great acting from someone so young!

this was my favorite tv show. no other show captured and reflected my school life like freaks and geeks. i saw so much of myself in the characters.
then of course it got canceled to make way for jersey shore and glee and other rubbish like that.

This show was incredible, and this particular scene is one of the best endings to a pilot or episode of a television series ever! It's brilliant on so many levels. It should be used in classes for scriptwriting.
