My 1988 Astro Van Burn Out. 350 V8 L98

350 L98 Corvette motor pulled from a 92 camaro mounted to a TH700R4 transmission, Race lights on the rear, 4 core racing aluminum radiator with a super high CFM electric fan, 2" drop spinals on the front, 3 3/4 custom exhaust, 0-60 under 6 seconds, 50-80mph to pass traffic in under 3 seconds, and if I can keep my foot out of it, I get 22-25 mpg in part thanks to the TH700R5 Tranny,. Shifts rom 1-2 almost right away, will not shift out of second till Im nearing 80, if I was not too damn scared Id say it will get this brick on wheels close to the 15-=170 range, and all of this in a sleeper 22 year old, rust free Astro van. I slide by every cop, and nothing a cop would ever look at first to ever be speeding looking down the radar gun, even though it has a after market grill. This is the ultimate sleeper mobile.

@OurPastLife Because you don't know what the Astros are based on... They are based on GM B body cars... Like the Chevy Caprice and the Cadillac Brougham... Which were V8 cars... Plus most external engine parts, such as brackets and transmissions from the 4.3 liter V6 will interchange with the Chevy V8 smallblock... The engine bay is plenty big enough for the V8... The extra length goes to front... So no engine driven fan... Only electric... It's an easy swap... This is not meant as an insult...

At least you invested the money in the engine and not the rims. Looks good man. If I had an Astro I would drop a v-8 in it too. Much more impressive than hooking up a honda with a chip,intake and muffler. An Astro van is alot better than a front wheel drive car with a spoiler unless they got a gift card to autozone.
