90th anniversary of Lithuanian Army restoration

November 23 is the Day of the Lithuanian Armed Forces. On this day 90 years ago the then Prime Minister A.Voldemaras signed the decree No.1 on the establishment of Defence Service and formation of the first division of the Lithuanian Armed Forces. It was the first step of official establishment of the force that later returned to Lithuania its freedom. Contemporary Armed Forces continue the same traditions as Lithuanian Armed Forces of those days.
