This is a cool little piece of hardware. A man named Don Kivett designed and put it together. I thought it didn't work when I first plugged it up because it would display 3 or 4 of each number I typed in. It took some contact cleaning and repetitions, but it works perfectly now. Think of it... a TI99 with a user-friendly keypad!!! This is my new favorite piece of gear!!! Saves tons of time in programming, I swear to you.

  • how old is this shit

  • Pretty freakin old. The console was made in '82, the number pad, who knows. :)

  • I'd be happy to take a look at it, probably I should finish my PS/2 keyboard. hehe. :)

  • Hey, awesome job on the EPROM Arcturus cart with jon. I'm glad you guys are around... gives people like me something to aspire to. =)

  • That's great; I'm back into using my TI with a new 3.5 floppy drive and a cable using the TI with the RCA plugs on the TV.

  • Thanks... I wish I knew someone who knew hardware so that I could get a schematic on how to modify OTHER TI99s with this number pad. Maybe someone on the Yahoo UG. We shall see!

  • I wonder how difficult it would be to use an Atari CX85 numeric keypad instead? I have a spare around here somewhere... ;-)

  • Did you ever get this thing figured out? If so, I'd like to see some schematics
