@spacepatrolman I remember suede beatle boots.I had the black leather ones two of my friends had some as well.one had black suede,the other brown suede like yours. they also came in blue,red,and the ones I almost got yellow-green! I also always wanted a cape like the one david crosby wore in the byrds. but never could find one.lol....I love the searchers.after the beatles I thought they were the best of the liverpool groups... I think hendrix is so identifide with "hey joe" that its his song.

@TheBabyboomkidof53 the searchers did a song called hey joe on a live album but its not the same song a lot of people think jimi hendrix version is the first slower version but the original by the guy that wrote it was

@spacepatrolman as for the glasses I had a pair like roger mcguinn's, "ben franklin" style in dark green. I was the envy of all the guys because I also had a pair of beatle boots and the girls would swarm me. wonderful days.

@spacepatrolman you know I would have to hunt that album up at my other home in another state next time I go, and I expect to in about a month. it also has "wipeout" and "sufer joe" on it as best as I can recall at this time . its been ages since I had it out and listened to it.but I have kept all of my old albums unlike some who in haste unloaded theirs when cd's first came out. not me. those records have fond memories attatched to them.besides I dont think cd's are that much better myself.

@spacepatrolman thats very intresting. I think arthur lee was doing his best on this song to give his voice that roger mcguinn inflection. also on the album cover,mcguinn's influence is on display with lee in small wire frame sun glasses. trying not to copy mcguinn's "granny, or ben franklin glasses" to closely he picks a different shape, but all considered you can tell where he got it.its like beatle boots.by the way I have the surfaris album with hey joe.
