Senses Fail Blackout 2008
from the album Life is not a waiting room
Thank you Buddy, thank you Senses Fail.

Thanks to ur2dum2no for the lyrics

I just drove under the Lincoln sign
To where New Jersey meets the New York line
And through the tunnel for the last time
With everything crumbling behind
I stood still until I felt the shakes
Of two bodies that were parting ways
I didnt want to be the one to say
I know this hurts but its time to break
In two pieces, the fault line is not secure
A boat or bridge is needed to get back to her

I feel like I am paralyzed
When I look at the extra space left in my bed
And think about all the things we did
At least Im feeling more alive
But I still have some old weight that Ive got to shed
Before I find happiness

I make mountains out of my worries
And I plant pain instead of sturdy trees
I have got to wash these old sheets
So I can fall asleep
There are times, there are times I reach for the phone
To tell you that there might still be some hope
Holding on to the slack of rope
But thats the whiskey talking, so
I hope that you can find some peace in life
Can you survive without me?
Cause I thought Id be fine.
Now I am slurring every single line.

I feel like I am paralyzed
When I look at the extra space left in my bed
And think about all the things we did
At least Im feeling more alive
But I still have some old weight that Ive got to shed
Ive got to move on before I can find happiness

This isnt fair, nobody taught me (how to let go)
Just be here now and youll be set free from sorrow?
But at this time, I dont see clearly (How will I know?)
What is the point? What is the meaning?

Now Im struggling, I black out so I cant dream
But I still see you sneaking through my weary head
I suffer from a drought of medicine to dull self-doubt
I just wanna drown you out with southern poison
If I had a drink for every Goddamn time I think
About your pale skin dressed in pink
Then at least I could sleep
If I had a shot for every Goddamn time I thought
About your face and what I lost
At least Id get some sleep
Sleep, sleep, at least Id get some sleep
Sleep, sleep, then at least Id get some sleep

  • @xtracheeese

Best Part of the song <3

  • @NazgulWolf707 You think your comment will make a difference? Good fucking luck buddy. Some people have such a strong passion about their favorite music that whoever is against automatically becomes an enemy. Whatever you say will not do anything.

  • this song makes me think of her over and over again. this song is the story of my life... but in the end, it was my fault anyway, and i deserve to spend my life alone. ive moved on... from a bottle of smirnoff to a bottle of jack.

  • the dislike part of the bar is as big as the dick of the guy who disliked it

  • I need to stop listening to this entire album everyday... no I don't.

  • 187 likes, i'm not saying i'm just saying :)

  • Only one dislike out of almost 52,000 views. Probably a troll

  • @xtracheeese this breaks my heart

  • 51,000 views... only 1 dislike. Amazing.

  • @PullTheTriggerTV thats what i thought he was gonna say :D but then he said paralyzed and i was all OH..ohkay...that works too

  • @PullTheTriggerTV no they dont senses fail have talent and boys like girls dont as they dont even write their own song even buddy nielsen has complained about them for that

  • @PullTheTriggerTV boys like girls are faggets

  • @d4rkarchon oooh i get it now lol

  • @Coltsfuntawin Lvl3Zell is trying to say that when Buddy says "I feel like I'm paralyzed" in this song it reminds them of Martin from Boys Like Girls says "I feel like a hero (and you are my heroine)" in the song Hero/Heroine.

Personally, from 3:21 to the end of the track is my favorite part.... sooo good!! :D<3

At least I'd get some sleeeeeeeep, sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep, sleeeep<3

  • regardless of what people may think. this could possibly be they're best song. it has everything a good song needs. and if you've ever seen them live, you know they scream in this song too. SF all day, everyday

  • this reminds me of Boys Like Girls - Hero/Heroine

"I feel like a hero, And you're my heroine"

    instead of

    "I feel like I'm paralyzed"

    their voices are similiar :O

    and the rythm as well

  • I would love this song so much if I didn't relate to it so much... -_-"

  • @Lvl3Zell i honestly dont get it lol

  • Whoever disliked this has terrible taste in music this has turned into one of my favorite songs.

  • @xtracheeese

That part is probably what made me love the fuck out of this song. I think everyone has felt this at one point in time.

  • Senses Fail > Boys Like Girls

  • This is the song that turned me onto this band. Been an avid listener since. Senses Fail, my ears say thank you.
