  • Looks pretty rough there. Is a lot of Shreveport like that? I'd like to visit sometime but if thats what its like then forget it.

  • Zach1740, that's the old downtown and the neighborhood surrounding it. It has seen brighter days but I like the old buildings. If you are planning on visiting the area I recommend Kings Hwy for some local diners and antique stores, Youree Dr. for regular chain store shopping, and Line Ave. for local business and boutiques. There's more to Shreveport than that but that's were I spend alot of my time.

  • @drjazz11 yeah 516 use to be badass but they shut it down a few months ago.whats you bands name?

  • @taybeatdown I loved that place! My band got to play with alot of famous bands there. Good times.

  • i used to live there and its amazing(:

  • @Zach1740 nawl all of shreveport aint like that...

  • Im born and raised in Port City (Lakeside projects aka Jackson heights) and if u wouldve made a right on any of those streets before u got 2 that bridge, things couldve gotten ugly for u. Alendale, my old projects, and the bottom was down the street from Texas street. Some serious gangstas roamed those streets.

  • I'm from the Shreveport-Bossier City area, although I haven't lived there in close to 26 years. I remember the old timers referring to Allendale as "Little Italy". But alas, nothing stays the same.

  • you would know
