This is probably BFI's restoration. MGM is releasing it on DVD this October.

I hear that a modern remake of this film is coming out this year, it won't be as good of course but it should be interesrting to see.

Where did you find this really nice print? Usualy, it's the same bargain basement DVD copy off a beat up 16mm print. You really see what a superb film this is. Thanks for posting

Nice this is Hitch's take on Jack The Ripper
as I recall.

Yes, this film was based on a book that was inspired by Jacks murders.
