Our son Connor started a couple of weeks after his first steps at 13 mos. It is VERY cool that your child can ski even that well at such a young age and own their own. I recommend and edgy wedgy, a leash andgoing straight for the intermediate slopes. We kept our least taught for a few weeks the slowly let it dropp so Connor was basically skiing on his own. Eventually my husband unhooked the leash and skied up next to our son, surprising him. he's been rippin it on his own ever since!
