The San Diego Model Railroad Museum may be one of the coolest places for a son who LOVES trains. One of the best exhibits in the museum is the model of the Goat Canyon trestle in Carriso Gorge. Apparently, it is the largest curved and one of the largest wooden trestles in the world.

  • You have to hike your son out to see the real thing, he'll love it more.

  • We took our son to the museum a few years ago. We were tight for time, but this was too good to pass up. We were there over three hours and only planned on two. Hope to get back again some day.

  • oh i think that is the HO scale correct and i used to volunteer there it is really fun to work with the trains there

  • To make this look more realistic you should have the first Tunnel 15 behind Goat Canyon trestle, the trestle was built and a new tunnel 15 because the old tunnel 15 slide down the hill a few feet.
