@shamrock32 please stop using "trailer park" as an insult. I live in one with my fiancee and I'd prefer not to, but at this point, we cannot afford to move. There is NO SHAME living in a trailer unless it's in utter disarray!

@d35white I agree. But this dad is clearly out of line. I have never inflicted physical pain on anyone. My own parents used that method and I turned out very broken and weak as a person. As a result I let other people walk all over me and verbally abuse me. I don't think I would do that to my children but restriction/ time out seems like a better option.Otherwise its my business how I would discipline my children. I would discipline them with love.

@FlutePlayer777 You said you "might spank them"...it seems like you have a grasp on the right thing to do but yet is still a possibility. Inflicting pain on another human being is always wrong. There are so many more positive ways to discipline and teach your children. That was all I was asking.

@d35white I never said I would. If there was a reason to spank it better be serious. I personally don't think I would. I would go with time out or ever restriction for a week depending.
