From the library at http://www.jivemecrazy.com/ , this movie contains an intermediate lesson in Modern Jive (Ceroc-style) dancing. Easy footwork, sexy and athletic, fun and healthy. The dancers are teachers Corina and Brent who teach online and in Australia for Club Jive. Hope you enjoy it, and we hope it inspires you to learn the ultimate in couples dancing at http://www.jivemecrazy.com/ Beginner level lessons available too.

  • This is sheer brilliance, the moves are obviously intermediate (at least) but the style comes in the seamlessness and fluidity of all the moves. If you get my gist!...I've been dancing since September and this has given me a goal to aspire to.

  • Thanks for you kind comments. All the best.

  • @BBoyInTheBallroom i just found out about Modern Jive and i'm just figuring it out too...I think it's more push than hustle, that is, 4 counts with an non-syncopated rockstep. wikipedia says it was invented to get rid of more complicated footwork 0.o

i don't trust it. maybe i will later, but i certainly don't as of now

Hmmm - well I'm 47, was brought up on rock'n'roll and my mum and dad were well into their jives and could seriously boogie! I missed that vocation somewhere. What I see on the ballroom TV shows bears no resemblance to that either. I'm also a Ceroc dancer of just over a year. It's fun, keeps you fit, social, and I have the confidence now to get up on the dancefloor at parties and dance with my wife. I did ballroom as a kid and detested every second.

  • hrrm, so modern jive is just hustle with some swing moves to new music? im a professional ballroom competitor... and im still confused what "modern jive" is... isnt like the jive I know... hrmm
