Please note that this is only a Midi playback version of the piece derived from Finale Printmusic.
The Trial of Aaron Mckinney, Op. 3 for solo piano performance. This is a minimalist piece written for piano. The piece is meant to represent a psychological overview of the trials surrounding the murder of Matthew Shepard in 1998.
Nick, I love you, man. Keith, here, from CBPASS. This is fantastic. I have a soft spot in my heart for minimalist music, and if this were played on a real piano, it would have been almost perfect. It's just tense enough and just ugly enough and just dark enough to be beautiful. I adored the part in the middle when the rhythmic drive stops almost completely. It's much more Glass than Reich, but I think you did some things that Glass wouldn't have done. Good job, Nick. Approve.
