THe recording is to off-balance because:
1) the recording was done off-center, and stage audio is set to be best in the center.
2) the base is so loud because without being in the direct line of the high-end drivers (see point #1) the uni-directional low-frequency sound is all that's picked up.
3) The 'mic used was likely non-balanced.

Still a cute song, despite all that. ;2)
