Neurotheology 6 - The lecture, by Todd Murphy (developer of the 8 Coil Shakti) discusses how apply neuroscience to your own spiritual process. It looks at common altered-state experiences, like the 'sensed presence', deja vu, tingley sensations, and others. It also looks at how to choose spiritual practices (by looking at 'temporal lobe signs' (also called Complex Partial Epileptic Signs) as well as using a high-tech method; complex magnetic neural stimulation. It features a discussion of the Persinger "God Helmet" (actually the "Koren Helmet"). It also covers the future of spirituality.

  • Contemplative neuroscience and the like are so important & even more so in this fast moving society. It has been proven meditation effects many important parts of the brain associated with memory, concentration, creativity, etc. It also effects DNA, shutting down certain chains associated with anxiety, & stimulating positive effects, & makes cell division easier. Of course this is very simplified. I have used these techniques, i know they work, & have opened new vistas of experience.

  • vary cool it reminds me of activating the ethric body before entering deep meditation witch now makes more sence and make it easier in a way thanks

  • its amazing , thank u so much for shedding light on these untouched subjects, i am very excited to watch it and like to watch the rest , cheers
