  • @rogharm Also saw Johnny Carson Tonight show taped at 7 pm. get tickets from trib tv radio reporter. got singer stuart foster listed in trib with live cbs orchestra on local wcbs radfio. have fabulous photo collection. from trib. met adela rogers st. john as i was temporary receptionist. did not know who she was or her name until i saw her as guest on merv griffin show. knew jimmy breslin, john hay whitney to whom i delivered his newspapers directly in his office.   • @childofthemarshalsea I brett summers at nbc tv in the then RCA BUILDING NBC RADIO CITY STUDIOS IN MANHATTAN on to TO TELL THE TRUTH in the early 60's when NBC TV still had production in nyc. i used to work for the new york herald tribune newspaper now defunct 1967 and was off weekdays. i spent my off days all day at nbc and sometimes at cbs tv studios 53 and 54 in manhattan. i ate at the automat horn and hardart also defunct then returned to nbc-tv. mezzinine and friend at tribgettickets.

  • @rogharm I would have loved to have met Tony Randall and Jack Klugman. I remember growing up with this show and even though it was not popular when it was on the air (ironically, it became an enormous success in syndication), I was probably one of the few die-hard fans who watched it every week (unless it was past my bedtime). But for one TV executive, this show would have been cancelled after its first season. It shows that Nielsen ratings can be very deceptive.

  • i met tony randall on the #5 in manhattan he was gacious and walked me in the street a few blocks after exiting the bus. he was great!!! so was fredricks whom i never met!!! great post. i got on the #5 bus at lincoln center and tony was already on the bus and the bus in the afternoon had few people on it. and no one recognized him. i was the only one ROGHARM
