My mother bought this game for my birthday when I was 12. I was a bit disappointed because I wanted 'Rainbow Islands', but learned that she did ask the retailer for it, but it wasn't available. If I wasn't mistaken either the retailer (in a typical attempt to try to do business nevertheless) showed her another game he thought I would like, or she asked for a few other similar titles to choose from.

In any case she happened to see this game, she liked what she saw (she thought the main character Bugs Bunny was very cute) and she got it for me.

It took me a few days (?) to a few weeks at that time to beat it. And I kinda liked this game so to speak (especially the underground, forest, and museum stages - mainly for the music except for the underground where I liked the darkness and the atmosphere especially when played it through once one dark, cold and rainy afternoon and found it especially unforgettable).

And credits to my father's second son too who taught me how to really beat the last boss (Tazmania), by not hitting him but hitting him back with the oval footballs he throws at you, and then boasting about his "cleverness".

PS My mother has passed away years back due to lung cancer. She will be remembered, especially through this game she bought for me.

  • Haha wow, even I have played this game once in my life.

  • Ah, so did you enjoy it?

  • Can't remember it very well. I grew up with the PS1/N64 but I still had a NES which I received from my cousins but I remember I played it!

  • Okay. That's good.

  • All those Bunny games by Kemco were really good, to me. Objectively it surely isn't anything less than solid.

    I like them!

  • True. From a player-collector's perspective I feel that they (Kemco) could also do better with their instruction booklets (that serve as souvenirs of especially great games like this also) though.

Simply reflecting the box art on their cover pages is all that is left for them to do, but pertaining to this aspect unfortunately at that time they suffered a serious lapse in their mental faculty of judgment.
