Contrary to popular belief, bunnyhopping in TF2 is possible and it does increase your speed, albeit slightly.

As you can see before I began to jump, I was almost exactly side by side with the other medic, if not slightly behind him, but by the end, I was marginally infront.

The walkway was also very narrow for 2 people to fit on, which restricted how much I could strafe, which would infact have lowered my speed. The maximum speed you can reach in TF2 is 170% of your class's base speed. After that, you will revert to your base speed.

Thanks to Flea for his 10 seconds of usefulness out of 1 and a half hours of being a dick :D

  • after the first jumps do you only hit the strafe keys?(a and d) Or do you used the forward key to? (w)

  • only hold your strafe keys, w will kill your speed

  • Please make a tutorial on tf2 bhopping i'm trying to practice it but i don't gain much speed

  • I'd watch one of the loads of css tutorials on it. the principle is the same in TF2

search for L2BHOP, I would recommend that one

  • @YerMaw781 If you do:

    bind "space" "+jump"

    you should only jump once.

  • yea I was testing this myself before I came looking for videos, and even tho I didn't have anyone to race with I recorded a demo and watched it in slow mo, and it does work. :D

    Nice.

It's less noticeable in slower classes, but I think it still gives a bit of advantage.

  • thanks

  • it best if you bind mouse wheel to jump because if you using space you have to click it perfectly

  • idk how still if i hold space i dont jump then
