its easy to fix the ring of death u dnt need to open no xbox up u just need it to over heat in anyway u can possibly the towels are 1 option witch do work 100 % but u just gotta do it for the right amount of time for ur xbox. ive dealt with over 23 rrod and never failed to fix one its easy to do just gotta have common sense .

do you guys really belive this doing it with towels will melt your system my freind did it he had to pay 700 dollars to get a new one so i did it without the towels it still worked

I think that this should only be used if you have a coffin coming and you want to play till then cause it can mess up your console. Your friend shouldnt have had to pay 700... i think they fix it for like less than 100 dollars if the warranty expired, free if its still in warranty, and even if he bought a new elite... thats like 500 at most.
