The basic thing here is not seeing the difference between fundamentalists and moderists.
That mosk simply doesnt have anything to do with 9/11. I think its a shame all this commotion started around this issue. America could have been proud of that mosk, as a symbol of religious freedom versus the terrors of Al Qaida.
Of course, the emotional arguments of the effected American family's, do have importance too.

This man is really educated. I wish if people stop harrasing Muslims and just leave them pray alone in their mosques. When people stop being so racist about religions, the world will be safe. peace to all

Shalom, I think the only people with any place to bitch about religious oppression are the Native Americans.
we worry about your holocaust from 65 years ago and you are ignoring the Natives which I think is just plain rude.
sorry, what happened to your people was vile but let's not ignore everyone who has been oppressed.

Well said Sir.
I can imagine a Fox News stall near Ground Zero, handing out free pitchforks, and burning straw torches to gullible angry Americans.
Nice HD camera by the way.

I'm more interested in who is building it and why. Because it's been used as overflow seems to be a convenient excuse.
The problem with your "logic" is that the Westboro group has a dozen or so members and they have killed no-one, whereas (a) the violence committed by muslims has been going on for 1300 years and (b) at least 10% of muslims actively support jihad against non-muslims, thats 100 MILLION who admit they support jihad; go to site thereligionof peace to see that 17 THOUSAND have been killed by islam since 9/11. PS - you're a useful infidel w all your fake logic / whining about "fox news".

@jpeditor Yeah man, keep parroting the Koch Brothers Islamophobic bullshit you hear on corporate news. Christians have murdered people en masse historically as well. Ander Behring Breivik committed the largest mass shooting in Norweigian history as an anti-muslim, pro-Christian sentiment, witches in Salem were brutally tortured and murdered by Christians, etc. And did you know that the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, waged by the US, have killed almost a million people? How's that for peace?
