David Cook - National Anthem - 09/11/11

Kansas City Chiefs season and home opener against the Buffalo Bills. This was the 10th Anniversary of the terrorist attacks of 9-11. David did an amazing job on this song on a very emotional day. I've NEVER heard him sing this better. I wish the game had lived up to the anthem. *shakes head*

Can you imagine how terrifying it must be to stand in front of all those people on such an occasion and sing the national anthem? Takes courage, talent, pride in your country, and knowing how to belt it out while putting your own stamp on it without over-singing it. The perfect man for the occasion...David Cook.

I actually think this may be the best NA I've ever heard. This makes me have tremendous respect for David Cook. I'm amazed at how many highly successful singers cannot sing this song. I believe it was very respectful that David didn't add anything to just show off his voice, plus it sounded fantastic.

@GREEKCOOKIE2 I'm responding after listening to 2011 idol winner who sang the National Anthem at the first game of the World Series tonight and it was HORRIBLE! I can't believe this guy won but as for David Cook, yep he can sing anything, anywhere, and it sounds so awesome!!!!!! On a side note, during the National Anthem tonight, the first and second ladies were out on the field with a war veteran and at least the first lady knows to put her hand on her heart, UNLIKE HER HUSBAND!

A beautiful man singing the national anthem beautifully...what more can you ask for? They picked the perfect guy to sing this on such a memorable day. He sang it respectfully, without adding any ridiculous notes, the way it was meant to be sung.

And 1 more observation, every David Cook video i watch, there's always "1 dislike". I bet it's the same damn person disliking every video of his...my suggestion to that person is, "get a damn life"...if you don't like him than don't watch it

This was wonderful! I love that he dressed for the occasion, sang it flawlessly (amazing), and glorified our country and its anthem rather than himself. LOVE David Cook! All you other vocal artists out there take notes!
