USA has 1.4 milion soldiers while china has 2.2 milion soldiers, while military technology doesn't differ so much as you say. Plus NATO would have hard time fighting against East: 1 million russian troops, 1.1 North Korean troops, 484000 Vietnam troops. NATO allies don't make up large numbers and not all have advanced military. So it would be pretty equal for WW3

Nobody exatcly could tell who would fight but if big one would be picked up everyone would worry being next...
