The Statue from LOST Revealed!!!

After doing some analysis and looking at stills of the full statue from the TV show LOST, it has been identified. Watch the video to find out which Egyptian g-d the statue seems to be. Be warned, this is only speculation. Do your own research as well.

@BighterDogs1 Unfortunately it just doesn't matter anymore. The show will never answer the question now and no mystery was involved around this statues.

So yes, I have learned it is Taweret based on the Lostpedia references. Although I still think it looks like a crocodile, not a hippo. Also, the ankh positions are wrong. But, according to interviews it is Taweret. So case closed, as is the show, with still lingering questions.

Well, now that the show is over, we'll never know. So many questions left unanswered and this will always be one of them.

I also thought Tawaret at first, but the face and look don't fit. It's would be a pregnant woman with a hippo face. The face doesn't look hippo and the statue from back angle doesn't look large in hips (pregnant). Although I agree that it could be, the teeth and nose don't fit that theory.

@sarahkinzz Its not a red herring, tawaret is the godess of fertility. The electromagnetism under the island causes pregnant women to be killed if they get to close to it(until 1977 when the nuke went off it made it a widespread problem.) So the egypyains erected this statue because they thought it was because the gods were doing it. LOST is just too complex for some people i guess and they hate the show for it. Dummys

I think that the egyptians was on the island long ago, and they built the statue of tawaret because of the problem of getting children on the island. (tawaret is the egyptian god of pregnancy and life). They prayed to their gods so that they could get children on the island. Thats at least my theory.
