PRESENTED BY LAYLA ANNA-LEE
Liam has been playing guitar for about 13 years, and only decided to go solo recently. He says he'll gig until he dies, so watch out for him on the London circuit, where he will be playing frenzied and engaging live shows.
His sound didn't require a lot of thought, other than the decision to sing in his own accent, rather than an American emo-boy. He just plays rock without the rhythm section. He hits the strings just as hard as one would if one were competing with a full band. Except it's not a band he needs to fight, it's his own voice, which he recently discovered can be VERY loud when he wants it to be.
His songs are about a mixture of things - interesting people he knows, places he's been, nights he's barely remembered... but all are delivered with the same passion and commitment he puts into everything he plays. Plus, you'll be idly humming the chorus for the next two weeks.
Influences are U2, Foo Fighters, Bon Jovi, Battle, Razorlight - amongst thouands of others. A bit of a motley crew really, but his music isn't part of any particular scene or fad, just as none of the above bands truly is. Great songs, passionately delivered, will never go out of fashion.
