please follow http://www.vandf.co.uk/trumpf7036.html for more information on CNC bending on our Trumpf 7036 press brake. This new machine is one of the fastest press brakes in the world. With off line CNC programming this machine is equally well suited to small batch or volume sheet metal fabrication.

  • These CNC press brakes are brilliant for bending small sheet metal components. We use them all the time for simple and complex parts. Their speed comes from the fast electric action, quick set up times, tool changes and ease of CNC programming. We liked the first Trumpf 7036 so much we purchased another new one a year later. Please take a look at my channel for other sheet metal work being bent on these machines.

  • Hydraulic CNC press brakes use a pump to generate hydraulic pressure to power rams to lift the beam (in a down stroke) press brake and to power it down to bend sheet metal. The hydraulic action is slower and tends to have a dwell at the final point of the bend. With an electric CNC press brake the beam is driven directly up and down with electric motors and screws or racks to bend the sheet metal work. They are quicker to react to the operators input and the end point of the bend is instant.

  • You are correct that the bending speed is legally limited to 10mm per sec but that is not the whole picture. The total time to make a sheet metal part is a combination of bending speed, tooling approach speed, back stop speed (which on this machine are very fast - carbon fibre light weight), tool change time (quick change Wila style), ease of PC use, programming simplicity etc. The whole package with an ergonomic operator environment we believe leads to very fast sheet metal work production.

  • Amazing machine. I like a lot these small electric Trumpf press brakes.

  • ...Electric press action, instead of hydraulic?

  • Fastest?

Its 10mm per second. Thats normal.

  • Nice tats man ;)
