Will Rogers is supposed to have said, "It's not the things you don't know that are the problem, it's the things you know that aren't so." (Or something like that.)

Gravy2468, you know a lot of things that aren't so. Helms didn't fight to prevent AIDS research, though he did make the very reasonable point that the amount of gov't research $ should have some relationship to the number of affected victims, not just their political clout. Nor did he ever make racist ads, nor lie about Gantt.

Right on man, Jesse Helms was right. If only we had someone like Jesse Helms in the White House now to end Racial Quotas...the color a person's skin should be more important than someone's qualifications. I can't see anyone voting for that tax and spend Liberal Harvey Gantt.

If you think that's bad, try being from the state he represented. Fun fact: in a mock election in elementary school, I voted for Harvey Gantt.

I know all about Senator No's AIDS position. He was in the fight to prevent AIDS research in the early years of the pandemic, because it was only "filthy homersexuals" that got it. Once it became clear that it wasn't simply them that got AIDS he changed his position. He thought it would only be contained in those "high risk" populations and that was ok to him. I wonder if Jesus would approve of that?

And he lied about Harvey Gantt's campaign funds, made blatantly racist ads, you name it.

I do not understand where your statement "the leftists who dominate Wikipedia" comes from. Is it a personal opinion/perception or has there actually been a study on wiki editors?

ykifle, are you serious?? The leftist slant at Wikipedia is blatant, obvious, and infamous.

For topics with no ideological ramifications, Wikipedia is often a great source of information. But for topics with any clear left-vs-right divide, Wikipedia is simply a propaganda outlet for the Left. Any attempt to bring balance or factualness to the articles is ruthlessly suppressed, and the contributors who make such attempts are banned or blocked.

I have read plenty of articles on American politics (even though I am not American) and I've seen no bias whatsoever. I live in a European country where no article on the continent's politics in Wiki favors the left. I can't see why it would be different in your country.
