This is way more realistic than American wrestling. They look like they're actually fighting.

Inoki always looked like a Japanese version of Lurch. UGLEE!

@TWB141...i agree people dont see that...alot of times vince has change wrestlers styles by forbidding them to do certain moves like he did to rvd and others..before hulk came to wwe and hulk-a-mania was already hot in japan and awa hulk was putting up great matches like these and ones with bockwinkel awa really blew it by not letting hogan keep title those matches were fun man..i agree also with u.s fans demanding wrestlers to use good moves as if wrestling is real..fuck i want to be entertain
-
@DarthKripple i agree charisma is the most important thing in wrestling wether ppl like it or not..thats why its sports ENTERTAINMENT..hogan had that he-man super hero look that stand out back in the 80s ..i used to watch wrestling on occasions when backlund was champ but when hogan came back as a good guy i watch wrestling always never missed it even on his debut as a heel he had that look that captivated..the rock is another example very charismatic

@shizeninho you obviously didnt watch hulk hogan's awa matches...hulk hogan might be bit egoistical just like the greatest in the biz ric flair had his ego,hbk had his,hhh has his ect hulk just stands out because wether we all like it or not he's the greatest sports entertainer ever i dont care what vince led ppl to believe ..i dont think hulk got lazy he just got older and cnt quit what he loves..rock vs hogan was best match at that wrestlemania and how old was hogan??..hulk always entertained

Hogan had hair?
-
antonio inoki's entrance is crazy
-
@shizeninho Actually it's our own faults. In the US, fans demanded strong moves from big men. In Japan, they demanded actual skill and realism since it was sold as real to them. If Vince would have told Hogan to do this here, it would have probably been different. But instead he wanted Hulk to be a monster.
-
Hogan is still handsome.

Hogan could wrestle, there was just no need for him to in his US prime. When the crowd is going wild for the basic stuff Hogan did there's no need to do chain wrestling or drop kicks...
guess hogan really could work a match... he was just too lazy and greedy to do it in america

@gazz12345a And Goldberg drew the same way, though not nearly as well. He had no personality or mic skills and lacked a natural connection to the fans. If you watch the Match up of Hogan/Warrior vs Lesnar/Goldberg it's nearly move for move the same match, but one got massive pop. Both Hogan and Warrior had charisma Goldberg and Lesnar who are mirror images of the same gimmicks didn't get over because they lacked that key ingredient.
